Biblical Context
Don't say the former days were better. Such longing is not wise and lacks true understanding.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember that the old days are not a different world outside you; they exist only as memories projected by your current state. Ecclesiastes warns against asking why those days were better — for such questions spring from an unsettled consciousness. You are the I AM, the awareness that observes thoughts and feelings; you are not the recollection. When you say the past was better, you are affirming a temporary mood as if it ruled your life. But the only reality is your present consciousness, and God, the I AM, operates here and now as the directing force. By changing your inner state—by assuming a new feeling about yourself and your world—you revise the past and present alike. If you desire a different experience, imagine it as already true. Do not fight time; revise your sense of it through a steadfast feeling of supply, trust, and discernment. Providence is the continuous guidance of your inner I AM, welcoming your recognition of truth. The door to wisdom is not nostalgia but deliberate inner alignment with the living present.
Practice This Now
Impose the assumption: the present is the only reality. Feel the I AM waking into fullness; revise any longing by affirming, 'I am the I AM, and this moment contains all truth.'
