Ecclesiastes 6:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 6 in context

Scripture Focus

10That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.
Ecclesiastes 6:10

Biblical Context

That which hath been named is already defined as man. You cannot contend with a mightier power.

Neville's Inner Vision

That which hath been named is but the label you have granted a state of consciousness. The verse invites you to see that you are not wrestling with external force, but with a belief about yourself. The 'man' you call yourself is a meant identification; there is a mightier power, the I AM, whose awareness threads through every moment. When you cling to past names, you resist the living Providence that guides you from within. The remedy is humility: yield to the sense that a greater will is directing you, not through struggle, but through alignment. In this light, limits dissolve as you recall your oneness with the will that surpasses any outward limit. Practice the assumption that the I AM within has already resolved every situation; let yourself feel the truth of that resolution until it becomes your felt experience. By living from this inner state, you stop contending with appearances and enter the seamless harmony of your true nature.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment revise a troublesome scene by declaring I AM the I AM here and now; this past is finished in me, and feel the assurance as a warm current moving through you.
