Inner Wealth as Divine Gift

Ecclesiastes 5:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 5 in context

Scripture Focus

19Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 5:19

Biblical Context

God grants both riches and the ability to enjoy them, along with the capacity to claim one's portion and find joy in labor; this is presented as God's gift.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the man who now claims this promise, understand that wealth is not a distant bounty but a state of awareness. God is not apart from you; God is your I AM, the very sense of 'I exist' that presides over all you are and have. When you acknowledge that riches and the power to eat and rejoice flow from this inner gift, you align with the current of Providence. Your wealth is the amount of life you are willing to admit as real in your inner state. The permission to take your portion is the permission to desired outcomes, to consent to abundance in your field of experience. Rejoicing in your labour is not the external applause but the inner joy of creators recognizing themselves as the source of what they experience. If you want more, do not beg for it; assume its presence and feel it now, as if this very moment were abundance made visible by your own consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you already possess riches and provision, and feel the joy of taking your portion; let the I AM affirm this is the gift of God.
