Height, Fears, And The Inner Home
Ecclesiastes 12:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It speaks of aging, fear, and the approaching end. Fears of heights rise, burdens press in, and desires fade as one moves toward the long home.
Neville's Inner Vision
Ecclesiastes 12:5 presents the last scene of a life under the pressure of fear, burden, and fading desires. Yet in the light of the I AM, these verses are not prophecies but reflections of a state of consciousness. The fear of that which is 'high' is a memory of limitation—an old thought that rises when attention forgets its source. The almond tree flourishing is the inner sign that life is ever-present in the now, even amid appearances of decline. The grasshopper becoming a burden reveals how small thoughts enlarge when you identify with them instead of with the timeless observer. When desire seems to fail, know that desire is energy seeking expression; you may simply revise the scene by assuming you are already the constant awareness that never leaves the room. The long home is the closing of one dream and the opening of another within consciousness, while mourners move through the streets of belief. Hold to the assurance, and the external scene softens until it mirrors your settled I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and repeat, 'I am THE I AM here now,' feel a calm pivot in your chest; envision the almond tree flourishing inside as your life in full bloom, and let fear dissolve.
