Ecclesiastes 11:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 11 in context

Scripture Focus

3If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
4He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
Ecclesiastes 11:3-4

Biblical Context

External conditions mirror your inner readiness. Do not wait for perfect weather to act; sow and harvest follow when your inner state is ripe.

Neville's Inner Vision

These verses teach that the outer world moves in response to the inner mood. The clouds full of rain are your abundant ideas held in consciousness; the earth is your lived world, opened by your belief that what you desire is already given. If the tree falls, it falls according to the inner conviction that decides its direction; you cannot control every wind or cloud, but you can decide what you are willing to accept as real. To observe the wind and clouds is to entertain uncertainty; you stay in hesitation and your sowing and reaping stall in the to-and-fro of doubt. Instead, assume a state that aligns with your goal, feel it as already true, and act from that feeling. Say, in your own words, 'I am the I AM; I have planted the seed of my desire, and the harvest is unfolding now.' Let your attention fix on the inner sky that has already released the rain of fulfillment. When you hold that inner certainty, the outer events follow—often in ways you could not predict but are guided by your predetermined inner motion.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the wish fulfilled for a few minutes, feel the soil, the rain, and a harvest in your hands; then sow a concrete step today that aligns with that reality.
