Under the Sun Revisited

Ecclesiastes 1:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 1 in context

Scripture Focus

9The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9

Biblical Context

The verse asserts that history repeats itself. What has been will be, and what is done will be again, revealing a timeless cycle beneath the sun.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, Ecclesiastes whispers that nothing is truly new, for all outward events are born from the same inner state. The 'thing that hath been' and 'that which is done' are but reflections cast by your own awareness, the I AM that perceives. When you see a problem, you are not confronting a new world so much as revisiting a familiar script written by your previous thoughts and feelings. Therefore, shift the author within: assume a state in which the desired outcome already exists, and dwell there until your feeling aligns with it. The sun you speak of is not a distant power but your own consciousness illuminating the inner scene you accept as true. When you imagine with the feeling of completion, you are merely rehearsing what already lives in your mind. Your consistency in sensing the fulfilled state awakens the form it has imagined into existence. So, do not seek novelty outside; seek a new state within, and let the outer world harmonize with that inner truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the feeling, 'I am the reality of my desire, now complete.' Stay with that inner state and imagine a brief scene that confirms the fulfilled state as though it already exists.
