Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The speaker prays to the LORD to spare His people and inheritance. They are described as redeemed by God's greatness, brought forth from Egypt by a mighty hand.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the cry 'destroy not thy people' becomes a call to the I AM not to erase your inner inheritance. The 'people' are inner states—habits, beliefs, dreams—redeemed by the greatness of God, which is your unlimited awareness. Egypt represents bondage of fear and limitation; the exodus is the turning of attention from lack to the splendid power of imagination you possess. The verse teaches covenant loyalty: you are eternally safeguarded by the I AM, not by external favor, and mercy flows when you refuse to condemn your past and instead honor your redeemed self. When you accept that God’s greatness brought you forth into freedom, you stop praying for deliverance from without and begin recognizing the deliverer within—the inner fact of your being. Your awareness is the power that rewrites what seems real; the feeling of being saved is the feeling of right-now reality, not a distant event. In this light, redemption is not a future event but a present state cultivated by your assumption.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM as your constant ruler and quietly declare, 'I am redeemed by the great I AM, and my inner inheritance is secure.' Then feel the surge of gratitude and let that sensation guide your day.
