Inner Covenant of Love

Deuteronomy 7:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 7 in context

Scripture Focus

7The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
Deuteronomy 7:7-10

Biblical Context

God did not choose you for your numbers, but because He loves you and keeps His oath; He delivered you from bondage in Egypt. He is the faithful God who keeps covenant with those who love Him and keep His commandments.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your true land is the state of awareness you inhabit now. The text does not boast of numbers; it reveals that you were chosen by love because the I AM keeps its oath in you. When you awaken to that, you are drawn out of the bondage of fear by a mighty inner hand and led to freedom in consciousness. The line about being the fewest shifts from a statistic to a sign: your worth is not your size but your fidelity to the inner law that loves and commands. The covenant and mercy endure with those who love Him and keep His commandments—the inner dispositions you cultivate day by day. Hatred, seen as resistance to this inward order, is repaid in the currency of your own thoughts, being destroyed by the very light of your awareness. So practice steadiness: assume you are loved, kept, and empowered, and feel that the covenant is already fulfilled in your present I AM. In that recognition, mercy and justice move through you toward others and toward your world.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and say, 'I am the beloved, kept by the I AM.' Feel it real for 3–5 minutes, revising any sense of lack into the awareness of covenant; envision stepping out of bondage as your inner exodus.
