Inner Victory and Divine Presence
Deuteronomy 7:21-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage reassures you that God is present among you and that victory comes by faithful inner alignment. Fear is to be replaced by trust as you move gradually through obstacles.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your true land is the inner arena, where the I AM stands among you as a mighty, terrible Presence. The scripture does not promise conquest by march or sword, but by the consciousness that you are already the knowledge of God. The little-by-little delivery is the mind's unfolding of your accepting that there is no other force but the I AM within. When you feel the fear approaching, remind yourself that the nations you fear are only transient states of consciousness: you do not have to destroy them by force outside; you dissolve them by refusing to feed them with belief. As you dwell in that conviction, the kings of denial are handed to you for removal, and their names fade from your inner heaven. The outer appearances change in accord with your inner alignment: you are not defended by arms, but by your steadfast awareness that God is among you, a mighty God set to deliver you from every limitation. The result is not conquest of others but the reconstitution of your own identity as the One I AM.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, say I am within me now; I am among me, mighty and terrible to fear. Visualize stepping through a gate of fear and watching it dissolve; repeat little by little and feel your inner kingdom expanding.
