Cleansing the Inner Kingdom
Deuteronomy 7:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God will lead you into a land to possess and drive out the nations before you; you must utterly destroy their idols and not form covenants or marriages with them, lest you turn away from God.
Neville's Inner Vision
In your imagination, the 'seven nations' are seven dominant beliefs and habits you have welcomed into your mind. You are called to conquer them not by coercion but by the inner law of your I AM. Destroy their altars, images, and groves by replacing every conditioned image with the one Presence that remains when you refuse compromise. Refuse covenants with lack or fear; keep your allegiance to the God within. The result is an inner sovereignty, a land of peace where you serve the I AM and the old affections lose their power as the light of awareness shines. When you cling to these illusions, you feel the inner anger that drains you; when you release them, you are suddenly free in spirit and imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you already possess this land by aligning with the I AM. See the idols dissolve in a blaze of light, replace them with one altar to Presence, and feel the reality of freedom settling in as you carry this inner state into your day.
