Inner Covenant, Outer Promise
Deuteronomy 6:17-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Keep the LORD's commandments diligently and do what is right in His sight. This brings blessing, enables you to inherit the land, and cast out your enemies, as God has spoken.
Neville's Inner Vision
I speak from the I AM that you are. The land you seek is not a map but your state of consciousness, and the commandments are inner laws by which you organize that state. When you align your awareness with what is right and good, in the sight of your own inner judge, you live in a condition where well-being is natural. The 'enemies' you cast out are fears, doubts, and distractions that keep you from your true possession; by obeying the inner law, you displace them and reclaim the territory of peace. The phrase 'as the LORD hath spoken' is the voice of your higher self affirming what is already true: imagination creates reality, and you can revise your life by what you assume to be true now. Do not ask the world to change; change your inner condition and the world mirrors that change. Try the practice of assuming you already possess the land, feel the cadence of abundance, and dwell in the certainty that you are in the right and good. In that inner obedience, you walk into the promised land.
Practice This Now
Sit in quiet, assume you already possess the land in your mind; repeat, 'I am aligned with the inner law and cast out every inner enemy,' and feel the peace that follows as real.
