Scripture Focus

28And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
29O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
Deuteronomy 5:28-29

Biblical Context

God heard the people's words and approved them; the verse expresses a longing for a heart that fears (reveres) and keeps the commandments, so life and offspring prosper.

Neville's Inner Vision

I hear in this passage the whisper of your own inner life. The 'LORD' spoken of is the I AM you are aware of—the unchanging awareness that listens to your words. When the people say, 'they have spoken well,' you are naming a moment when your consciousness touches alignment with the divine law. The cry, 'O that there were such a heart in them' is not a condemnation of lack but a longing within your imagination for a heart that reveres and keeps the inner commandments. To 'fear me, and keep all my commandments always' becomes a practice of consciousness: cultivate reverence, fix your attention on the law within, and act from that inner posture. When this is established, 'it might be well with them' becomes your lived experience—well-being following the vibrational state you inhabit. The verse also hints at continuity, that this inner harmony may extend to your children or life in time. The delay dissolves as you realize you are already within the covenant of a faithful heart. Your work is to maintain that inner stance and let the outer world reflect it.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume you already possess that reverent, obedient heart now. Feel the well-being spreading through you as you live in perfect accord with the inner law.
