Read Deuteronomy 5 in context

Scripture Focus

1And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
2The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
Deuteronomy 5:1-2

Biblical Context

Moses invites Israel to hear the statutes so they may learn, keep, and do them; God established a covenant with them at Horeb.

Neville's Inner Vision

Listen, for the inner Moses inside you proclaims these statutes to your consciousness. 'Israel' is your awakened self; the 'statutes and judgments' are the steady commands of your I AM, the law written on your heart in this moment. When Moses says 'hear,' he means you must attend to the movements of your own state of consciousness. The covenant at Horeb is not a distant event but the inward agreement your awareness makes with itself the moment you acknowledge that you are one with the Source. To learn them, to keep and to do them, is to inhabit a new state: to dwell in the quiet certainty that the I AM governs your life and that every thought and feeling aligned with that state becomes law in action. When you revise a fear or limitation by assuming the truth of your unity, outer events bend to your inner conviction. Imagination creates reality, and the covenant you accept today becomes your life tomorrow.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the I AM as your governing state, and feel the inner laws as present. Stay with that feeling for a few minutes, revising any sense of separation until life aligns with your inner covenant.
