Moses on Pisgah: Inner Land
Deuteronomy 34:1-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses climbs to a high place and gazes upon the land of promise, but God tells him he shall not cross into it; he dies there and Joshua rises to lead. The scene translates as an inner movement, where the land is first seen in consciousness rather than entered by external action.
Neville's Inner Vision
From Neville's vantage, Moses is a state of consciousness ascending to a peak where the entire land of your possibilities is revealed. The lands of Gilead, Naphtali, Ephraim, and Judah symbolize inner realms—desires and powers—unfolded by the I AM to be claimed through imagination. The declaration that you have seen it, but shall not cross over, is timing and transformation, not prohibition: you are shown the treasure within as the old self yields to a new faculty of discernment. Moses’ death marks the dissolution of the old identify, making room for Joshua—the wisdom-born inner faculty that heeds divine command. There has been no prophet like Moses because God knew him face to face—the perpetual, intimate awareness that you are always attended by the living Presence. The promised land is thus not a distant border but a present state of consciousness revealed by your I AM, ready to be entered as belief becomes fact.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, imagine standing atop your own Pisgah, see the entire land as present scenery, and feel the wish fulfilled now. Revise any 'I can't' into 'I can,' letting the feeling of completion flood your being.
