Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few. The verse blesses Reuben with life and strength, ensuring he will not fade, and that his people will not be few.
Neville's Inner Vision
When I read 'Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few,' I hear the inner covenant of your own awareness. Reuben stands for a particular state of consciousness within you—the energy you call by that name. To say 'let Reuben live' is to awaken and sustain the state of life within, the I AM that refuses to fade. 'Not die' is the insistence that this state remains vibrant, not cut off by fear or limitation. 'Not his men be few' speaks to the resources and powers you supply to that state. The divine assurance is not about a tribe, but about how you guard and nourish the inner energy by imagination, belief, and feeling. If you feel the state is scant, revise: the I AM within you is constant, inexhaustible, and ever fruitful. In practice, dwell in the feeling of plenitude—see the inner camp thriving, the numbers multiplying in the light of presence. As you assume abundance, your life mirrors it back into form.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the living state as Reuben within you; repeat 'Let Reuben live' until you feel it as fact, then revise any sense of lack by dwelling on abundance.
