Biblical Context
Deuteronomy 32:28-29 portrays a nation without counsel or understanding and laments the need for wisdom to see its end. In context, it's a symbol for a mind lacking discernment and foresight.
Neville's Inner Vision
These verses speak to a people void of counsel, yet they invite you to hear the inner truth: the counsel you seek is within the I AM you are awake to. When you accept that your present thought is creating your next scene, you will understand why the verse says, 'O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end.' The latter end is the end you have already imagined; until you imagine differently, you remain locked in the same cycle. To practice, assume the end you desire as already realized, feel the feeling of it now, and let that end direct every choice. The mind then becomes a wise nation who has learned to govern itself by inner discernment. In this way, the decree of the text is reversed: you are no longer subject to external events but are the sovereign I AM deciding the turn of destiny by the power of imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, "I am the inner counsel; I know the end I seek is already mine." Feel the certainty as a present fact and let it guide every choice.
