Inner Fire of Divine Jealousy
Deuteronomy 32:19-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 32 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God sees a faithless generation and withdraws His face, letting their end be revealed; idolatry provokes His jealousy and invites calamity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you the LORD is the I AM, watching your thoughts as they move to substitute God with idols. The abhorred moment is the awareness that you have given power to images outside your own consciousness; I will hide my face is the felt separation that tests where your faith remains. Yet faith is not punishment but a state you can revise. When you stop feeding counterfeit powers and dwell in the belief that I am that I am, as your vivid reality, the jealous fires burn away the old mountains of belief. The fire consumes the foundations that keep up the forms you call external; the sword without and terror within are inner conflicts you heal by revision. The remedy is inner sovereignty: assume your divine identity and feel it real now. Let the inner state you choose govern the world you experience, and watch as appetite, fear, and appearance yield to the living I AM.
Practice This Now
Practice: In a quiet moment, assume the state I AM as your living reality; revise any image of lack or external power by affirming I am God within me now, and feel that truth saturate your thinking until it becomes your immediate experience.
