Inner Desert Winged Guidance
Deuteronomy 32:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 32 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God finds the soul in the wilderness, leads and teaches it, and guards it as the apple of His eye; He leads alone, with no other god beside Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the desert not as punishment but as the stage of your own consciousness. The opening lines say He found you there, drew you near, instructed you, and kept you as the apple of His eye. In my seeing, the apple of the eye is your innermost awareness—your I AM—cherished and protected by the Presence within. The eagle taking flight is your imagination rising on the consciousness that possesses you. When you imagine the nest stirred up and spread with wings, you are not fleeing but being carried toward clarity by the only power that can save you. There is no 'strange god' in your world; there is only the LORD, the I AM, guiding you through every thought, every decision, every moment. Practice this: assume that you are led by a Presence deeper than circumstance; feel the wings lifting you above problems that once seemed to bind you; allow your sense of self to be nourished by the certainty that you are under the sole direction of God within. Your life then aligns with the law of your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare, I am led by the I AM; envision being carried on divine wings over the desert of thought, and revise any sense of separation until it rings as true. Feel the warmth of being cherished as the apple of His eye.
