Inner Rock Recall: Deuteronomy 32

Deuteronomy 32:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 32 in context

Scripture Focus

1Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
3Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
5They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
6Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
7Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
Deuteronomy 32:1-7

Biblical Context

These verses invite heaven and earth to listen as God's teaching flows like rain, revealing Him as the unchanging Rock. They warn that the people have corrupted themselves and urge remembrance and faithful alignment with the Father.

Neville's Inner Vision

To me, these lines disclose the law of consciousness: the heavens and the earth are the two states of awareness within you, listening as your inner teacher speaks. My doctrine droppeth as the rain is your imagination’s teaching, flowing through your mind as gentle moisture that nourishes the tender herb of your being. When you publish the name of the LORD, you announce a creative truth about who you are: you are the One, the I AM, the rock upon which all your acts stand. The rock is perfect, its works are complete, for all your inner ways are judgment, your inner discernment, your sense of right and wrong, your alignment with truth. If you find yourself saying, "I am unworthy," you have forgotten your Father’s bought possession; you have left the rock and wandered into a crooked state. Remember the days of old—return to your inner elders and recall the conditions from which you came. The call to recollect is a call to reestablish your foundation in the I AM, the Rock that does not move.

Practice This Now

Assume the sentence: I AM the Rock of my life. Feel its solidity; revise anxious thoughts as ripples upon that Rock, then rest in the certainty that you stand on unshakeable ground.
