Read Deuteronomy 31 in context

Scripture Focus

7And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
Deuteronomy 31:7

Biblical Context

Moses urges Joshua to be strong and courageous and to lead the people into the land God promised, so they may inherit it.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Moses' charge is not merely a commission to a caravan; it is a summons to the inner state called courage. In Neville's terms, this is a condition of consciousness. The land is not a territory apart from you but your own state of victory when the I AM is recognized as your awareness. Joshua awakens to the truth that strength and courage are already resident in the I AM, and that with this awareness he goes ahead with the people—his inner dispositions, his beliefs, his motives. The words you must go with this people become you must go with these inner shades of yourself into the land of abundance. The promised land is the realization of a life governed by faith rather than fear. When you feel the impulse to move, you are not moving toward a distant future; you are aligning your present sense of self with the decree that you and your inheritance are one. Your task is to stay loyal to the vision, endure the journey, and claim what has always been yours in consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the Joshua state now: I am strong and courageous, and I go with the inner people into the land of my fulfillment. Sit quietly, repeat the assumption until it feels sense-real, then live from that state today.
