Deuteronomy 31:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 31 in context

Scripture Focus

3The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.
Deuteronomy 31:3

Biblical Context

The Lord goes ahead to clear the way, and you shall possess what lies ahead. Joshua goes before you as the appointed guide.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of these words as a map of your inner state. The Lord thy God, he will go over before thee, means your awareness goes ahead of every situation, arranging the scene in your favor. Destroy these nations from before thee is not conquest of others, but the dissolution of limiting mental states—fear, doubt, and scarcity—that oppose your true desire. Thou shalt possess them speaks of occupying your desired conditions in consciousness, a land you already hold in the imagination. And Joshua, he shall go over before thee is your inner pilot—the action of disciplined thought—leading under divine guidance. As the Lord hath said anchors the truth in your I AM, not in the evidence of the senses. Thus this verse is a blueprint for trust: you need only imagine and feel the act as real now, then permit the outer to reflect that inner possession. Your kingdom is where awareness precedes form; the presence of God is the indwelling I AM that makes the way before you.

Practice This Now

Assume the truth in your heart: God goes before you. Close your eyes, feel the I AM leading, and imagine yourself stepping into possession of your promised land.
