Inner Covenant Amid Prosperity
Deuteronomy 31:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
In Deuteronomy 31:20-21, God warns that once they settle in a blessed land they will turn to other gods and break the covenant. A witness-song will testify against them, for God knows the imagination moving in their minds even before they enter the land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the blessing of land and plenty is a state of consciousness you inhabit, not a distant geography. When I, the I AM, lead you into a land flowing with milk and honey, the temptation rises to identify with abundance, to feed the senses, to fatten on material ease. This 'fat' is not only physical fullness but the belief that you are separate from the One Source. In that moment, you can turn to other gods: fear, pride, possession, or the idea that happiness depends on things outside you. These are your inner idols, born in the imagination. The covenant you fear breaking is your fidelity to the awareness I AM within you. The song that will arise is your inner witness, testifying to the state you currently entertain. God knows your imagination, and the test is an invitation: observe your inner picture, revise it, and renew your loyalty to the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are already in the promised land of consciousness; revise lack to fullness by declaring, 'I AM the I AM within me, and I am faithful to this covenant now.' Then close your eyes and feel the peace as if it were your present reality.
