Within every commandment lies a governing state of consciousness. Deuteronomy tells you that the commandment I command thee this day is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. The word 'this day' is the present moment, the I AM that you are now. If you desire obedience, you do not chase law in the outer; you awaken to the inner decree and align your vibrational state with its reality. Your covenant loyalty is not a distant obligation but a living disposition you cultivate through steady imagination and feeling. When you assume the state in which the commandment is already true, you revise your sense of self from limitation to fullness. Distance collapses as you regard your inner awareness as the creator of the outward world. The commandment ceases to be a law to be followed and becomes the living condition of your being; thus, the law and the covenant are fulfilled by your realized consciousness, not by external performance.
