Inner Valley Abidance

Deuteronomy 3:29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 3 in context

Scripture Focus

29So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
Deuteronomy 3:29

Biblical Context

The verse describes staying in a valley opposite Bethpeor, signaling a steadfast inner posture amid outward temptations. It invites trust in inner awareness rather than external rites.

Neville's Inner Vision

Where you stand in the valley is not geography but your state of consciousness. The act of abiding there against the allure of Bethpeor is the spiritual posture of the I AM: you do not chase rites or idols outside you; you anchor your mind in the awareness that you are the imaginer, the one who imagines the entire scene. Bethpeor's idols are the cheater's voice of lack, the invitation to seek security in form. Yet 'we abode' means you refuse to be moved by appearances; you stay in the inner valley and let the inner movement of imagining align with truth. When you dwell there, you claim that the outer world is but a projection of consciousness; your trust is in the One Power within. The valley is not a place but a state of faithful stillness where you watch the urges rise and pass, not acting upon them. In that stillness, you are free from the need to worship idols, knowing that the I AM is the currency of reality.

Practice This Now

Assume the inner posture now: I dwell in the valley of awareness, unshaken by outer idols. Feel 'I AM' as your reality and revise any pull toward form by stating and feeling: I am the I AM.
