Covenant Reality and Inner Prosperity
Deuteronomy 29:9-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 29 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses invite all present to keep and enact the covenant with the LORD, promising prosperity for faithful obedience. It is a communal moment of reaffirming loyalty before God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the covenant is not a distant command but a state of consciousness you can enter in this moment. The assembly before the LORD your God is your own inner house, with its captains, elders, officers, children, wives, and even the stranger within your camp—all your psychic appearances gathered in present awareness. When this day comes into your imagination, Keep these words and do them becomes a discipline of aligning with your I AM. The oath God makes with you is the inner promise you renew: I am loyal to the divine order, I act as if the law governs my life, and therefore prosperity flows through all you do. The command to enter covenant is the invitation to steady, continuous attention to your inner disposition. By standing in this assumed covenant—feeling the truth of it now—you invite prosperity to reveal itself as your natural condition, here and now. Your outward results answer your inner alignment; you are not kept by circumstances but by the conviction you hold regarding your own mind and its law.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, close your eyes and declare, 'I stand before the I AM and covenant with my God; I prosper in all I do.' Then linger, feeling the truth of that covenant until it becomes your present experience.
