Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theater, the 'nations' are states of mind and their 'abominations' are reactions you have mistaken for reality. The idols of wood, stone, silver, and gold symbolize fixed beliefs, attachments, and routines you have treated as ultimate authorities outside your awareness. Yet you, the I AM, are not moved by them; you simply observe. The verse invites you to recognize these outer idols as inner projections, and to remember that allegiance belongs to the unseen Steward within. When you feel the ache of craving, or the certainty of a judgment, you are feeling the pulse of an inner idol. By turning your attention to consciousness—the awareness that you are, and that you will not be moved by these images—you break their hold. In this light, true worship is alignment with the I AM, not external rites. As you awaken, the apparent 'other gods' fade, and you inhabit a single, constant presence—your self as God within, the covenant keeping heart you are always.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM is the sole reality; revise any attachment or belief by silently stating, 'I AM the I AM.' Then feel it real by resting in inner quiet as the idols dissolve.
