Deuteronomy 29:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 29 in context

Scripture Focus

13That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Deuteronomy 29:13

Biblical Context

Deuteronomy 29:13 declares that God will establish you today as His people and be your God, fulfilling the promises given to the patriarchs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that Deuteronomy 29:13 speaks not of a distant event but of your present state. The I AM within you—the Living God—declares today that you are established as a people unto Himself. This is not history but a fresh, inner agreement: you are now, here, a vessel in which Providence rests. When He swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that oath becomes your memory of the soul’s certainty; you are the heir through your present consciousness. Your work is to dwell in the feeling of being God’s own, to align your inner disposition with the truth that you belong to God and He belongs to you. In that alignment, guidance, protection, and purpose unfold as the natural atmosphere of your life. The covenant is the ongoing adjustment of your inner state, so that outward events reflect your inner allegiance to the I AM. By applying imagination—feeling it real that you are established now—you become the living proof of the promise.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, repeat 'I AM established today as God’s people' until the feeling of rightness settles in; then move through your day from that sense, as if you already live in the Covenant.
