Biblical Context
Disobedience to the voice of God brings a sequence of curses that show up in every area of life—city and field, your supply, and the fruits of your life—reflecting inner misalignment. Your outer conditions serve as mirrors of inner choices.
Neville's Inner Vision
The LORD thy God is the I AM within you, and the 'voice' is your own inner awareness. The passage describes a condition where you do not hearken to that inner command; correspondingly, your inner states or time become mirrored as curses: a cursed city or field reflects the sense that your life is out of alignment; a cursed basket or store reflects a lack of nourishing thoughts; the fruit of your body and land reveal the consequence of belief in limitation; your comings and goings are tense rather than free. The point is not punishment but the natural result of a mind that still believes in separation. When you consciously act as the one who hears and obeys, you rewrite the inner climate. The 'commands' become a loving law inscribed into your imagination, and loyalty to that law reorients your whole experience. Your external world then follows your inner certainty, and curses dissolve into blessings as you dwell in the I AM, feeling your life as already established.
Practice This Now
Assume you are listening to the inner voice and acting on it now; close your eyes and revise a scene of your life so every outward condition mirrors inner harmony, and feel it real.
