The Inner Landmark Law

Deuteronomy 27:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 27 in context

Scripture Focus

17Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Deuteronomy 27:17

Biblical Context

The verse declares a curse on anyone who removes a neighbour's landmark. The people affirm the judgment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the landmark as a boundary within your own consciousness, a line your I AM draws in fairness, trust, and respect. To remove it is to pretend there is no order in your inner house, inviting confusion into your relationships and your days. The curse is not an external judgment but a symbolic image of what happens when you deny the law of your being: your surroundings rearrange themselves to echo your unwillingness to honor the inner lines you have accepted. When you stand firm in the boundary you hold for truth, loyalty, and neighbor-love, you invite harmony; when you revise it under fear or greed, you invite drift and misalignment. The Amen is your own recommitment, a silent oath that you will keep your inner landmarks intact and let your world respond accordingly. Remember: nothing in your life is more real than the consciousness you entertain. Your neighbor's property is a symbol of your fellow being, and honoring boundaries is honoring unity in the I AM.

Practice This Now

Impose the boundary in imagination and feel it real: the self's integrity stands, the line is kept. Then revise any belief that suggests another's claim over your inner landmarks.
