Inward Inheritance of Firstfruits
Deuteronomy 26:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 26 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
When you enter the land God gives, you shall take the first fruits of your harvest and bring them to the place the Lord will choose, presenting them there.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this decree as a map of inner life. The land is your inner birthright, the firstfruits are the initial thoughts and feelings that arise in you, offered back to God. The basket is your awareness that holds these offerings as you move toward the sanctuary of your mind. The place the Lord shall choose to place his name is the inner temple where the I AM resides. By bringing your inner harvest to that sacred spot, you covenant with the divine within and invite the name of God to settle there. This is practical mysticism: you awaken to the feeling that you already possess the land, let your imagination plant its name in that temple, and watch life align with the inner truth you have assumed. Your outer world will follow the consistent posture of a mind that regards itself as already complete in its promised inheritance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are already dwelling in your promised land. Visualize taking the firstfruits of perception and placing them in a basket in the inner sanctuary, then feel the I AM confirming that this is yours now.
