Grapes Of Grace Within

Deuteronomy 24:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 24 in context

Scripture Focus

21When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
Deuteronomy 24:21

Biblical Context

The verse commands leaving part of the harvest for those in need, signaling that true provision arises when a harvest is shared with others. It names the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow as recipients, pointing to mercy as a living practice.

Neville's Inner Vision

The vineyard is your inner state of awareness, and gathering grapes is your outward activity. To not glean afterward is to refuse grasping for more and to practice the circulation of plenty. The strangers, the fatherless, and the widow symbolize neglected or vulnerable parts of your being; provisioning for them is an act of mercy toward self. In Neville’s sense, provision is a state of consciousness that flows when you stop hoarding, when you imagine your abundance circulating through every corner of your psyche. By intentionally leaving something for these parts, you acknowledge that you are the I AM, the source of all nourishment, and that mercy and love for neighbor begin within. This is not charity to a distant crowd but a revision of your inner boundaries until generosity is your natural atmosphere. When you hold this vision, your life becomes a vineyard in which every harvest feeds the whole of you and your world; you become the living instrument through which creation provides.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a vineyard within your mind; as you harvest success, deliberately set aside a portion for the stranger, fatherless, and widow inside you, and feel the gratitude as abundance flows.
