Biblical Context
Ammonites and Moabites are forbidden from entering the LORD’s congregation forever, for their mistreatment and Balaam’s attempted curse. Yet the Lord loves you and turns the curse into blessing, instructing you not to seek their peace or prosperity.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the inward plane, all such 'laws' are states of consciousness. The congregation of the LORD is the one I AM consciousness—your full awareness in which you are at ease, protected, and blessed. The Ammonite or Moabite is not a people but a condition: the memory of those who failed to aid you and the voice that seeks to curse you. They are kept out of the assembly to remind you that your inner sanctuary has boundaries that shield you from projected harm. The Balaam episode is not a historical event in your life but a restless thought opposed to your good. The LORD thy God turning the curse into a blessing reveals the law: your loving, inner God reverses every supposed attack as soon as you stand in the truth that you are loved. Therefore, do not seek the peace or prosperity of those outside your own now. Invoke covenant loyalty within, and Providence gently guides you from the within, not from outward conditions.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise: I am loved by the LORD; I enter the congregation of the LORD in my consciousness, and every curse is turned to blessing by my inner God. Feel the blessing now as your present reality and rest in the arising certainty.
