Inner Return Of Lost Things
Deuteronomy 22:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage commands you to return your neighbor's lost property and not hide it, even if the neighbor is far away; you keep it safe until it is reclaimed.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville reading the brother is not a person out there but a state of consciousness within you. A lost animal, a found garment or any lost thing is a symbol of a forgotten gift in your inner life. The command not to hide yourself becomes a discipline of disclosure. When a thought, desire or fear arises you do not push it away or pretend it does not belong to you; you bring it into the light of I AM and place it in your inner house until it is claimed by the whole owner of the soul. If the other is not near you, you keep the thing in your mind until the owner seeks it back; this is restoration of order in consciousness. The act is not a punishment but a deliberate aligning of your inner estate with the truth that you are the I AM and you decide what belongs to you and what belongs to another. This is the inner kingdom reestablished by love and justice.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling that I AM owns all inner possessions and will restore them. Today, when you notice a lost thought or desire, place it on your inner shelf and feel it being reclaimed by the I AM.
