Read Deuteronomy 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God says He has begun to give Sihon and his land; you are to possess and inherit it, and you defeat the opposition.
Neville's Inner Vision
To read Deuteronomy 2:31-34 through Neville’s eye is to hear God as your I AM, not a distant conqueror, but the awakened attention of your own consciousness. 'Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee' is a signal that the end you seek has already begun in your inner state. Sihon and his land stand for old beliefs, fear, and habit patterns that would challenge your Jahaz. When you permit the Lord, the I AM within, to deliver, you are simply consenting to what you already know in principle—that you are the ruler of your world. The smiting of 'him, and his sons, and all his people' is inner cleansing: you renounce attachments, judgments, memories, and identities that no longer serve you. By removing the inhabitants you clear mental space for a new consciousness to dwell. The outer victory mirrors the triumph of your inner state; the cities you take are landmarks of a mind that has chosen freedom. The land belongs to you the moment you align with the end and feel it as present reality through I AM awareness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine stepping into the cities as if you already possess them. Feel the end as present reality, and declare, 'I AM the owner of this land.'
