The Inner Court of Witnesses
Deuteronomy 19:15-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 19 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Two or three witnesses establish a matter. If a false witness testifies, the evil is removed from among you and others are deterred from repeating it.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner courtroom I inhabit, the two or three witnesses are states of consciousness bearing witness to what I accept as real. God, the I AM, is not out there; He is my awareness, my living decision. When I notice a false witness—fear, doubt, or the belief that this cannot be— the inquisition begins: the mind tests the claim, and if that witness is found to lie, I remove the belief from among my thoughts. The law here is not punishment but the maintenance of integrity in consciousness: you must reject appearances that do not reflect your true I AM and you place the event into balance—life for life, the inner arithmetic of your mind. The effect is transformation; by aligning your inner witnesses with the truth you want to experience, you restore harmony and prevent future disturbances in your world.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit in quiet; imagine your inner court with two or three witnesses—your calm awareness, a steadfast truth you want, and a compassionate motive—testifying to the reality you choose. Revise any false belief by stating, 'This is my established truth,' and feel the emotional state of the fulfilled outcome as real.
