Inner Witnesses Within Mind
Deuteronomy 19:15-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 19 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage teaches that a matter is established by two or three witnesses, and if a false witness speaks, the case is examined by inner authorities to determine the truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take these verses as a map for the mind: the two or three witnesses are inner states that must concur that a state of being is true. The priests and judges symbolize your higher faculties—imagination, conscience, and disciplined attention—who diligently inquire and expose any false testimony born of fear or habit. When a false witness arises, you do not argue with it externally; you audit it inwardly and discard the lie, so the truth of your I AM stands clear. The law then becomes your inner practice: you assume the end and dwell in its reality until outer appearances must reflect your certainty. By aligning feeling with belief and refusing to entertain contrary testimony, you enact the state you desire as already real.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: In a quiet moment, assume the desired outcome as already real, letting two inner witnesses approve it. Feel the wish fulfilled as you dwell in that conviction for several minutes.
