Read Deuteronomy 18 in context

Scripture Focus

2Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
Deuteronomy 18:2

Biblical Context

The verse says that those under the covenant have no earthly inheritance apart from the LORD. The LORD is presented as the people's true wealth.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the vantage of consciousness, the decree of Deuteronomy 18:2 is not about land but about your inner state. When it says the LORD is their inheritance, it means you possess by awareness what you are: the I AM, the living presence that sustains being. In the theatre of mind, inheritance is not a deed to property but a demonstration of identity. To affirm that the LORD is your inheritance is to acknowledge that every appetite, every need, every blessing flows from the one Reality within you, the divine Self that never leaves you. Providence and guidance are not outside you but the activity of God within your own consciousness shaping experience according to your realized state. Covenant loyalty is fidelity to this inner ruler, a steadfastness to dwell in the awareness that God is your home and your wealth. Thus you shift from seeking to knowing, and outward conditions realign to reflect your inner conviction. The LORD's abundance becomes your wealth because you measure life by the I AM rather than by possessions. Practice this shift in the imagination, and watch the outer world answer.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'The LORD is my inheritance.' Feel the divine Presence filling your consciousness; let that state guide your actions.
