Inner Witnesses of Deuteronomy 17:7
Deuteronomy 17:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 17 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes a ritual where the witnesses lay hands on the offender first, then the people, to remove evil from among you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the law speaks of the hands of the witnesses and the people. This is not external punishment but the posture of your consciousness. The witnesses are the inner states of awareness that affirm what you really are and refuse to permit anything unlike that to remain. When these inner witnesses lay hands first, they declare that a disbelief, a fear, or a false identity has been judged and set aside. Then the hands of the people your outward actions, habits, and community responses confirm the cleansing by aligning with that inner decision. The evil in you is the belief in separation from your true nature; you put it away by choosing to live from the unity you already are. The outer scene is the echo of your inner law. To apply this now, attend to what you have accepted as reality, call forth the inner witness, consent to its verdict, and feel the reorganization of your life begins as you rest in the awareness that you are I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner witness is already laying hands on a limiting belief. Feel that belief released, replaced by the certainty I AM whole.
