Inner Kingship and Wealth

Deuteronomy 17:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 17 in context

Scripture Focus

16But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
17Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
Deuteronomy 17:16-17

Biblical Context

The verses forbid the king from multiplying horses, wives, or silver and gold so the heart does not turn from the Lord.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your true king is a state of consciousness, not a political throne. Deuteronomy 17:16-17 speaks of not multiplying horses, wives, or great wealth so that your heart does not turn aside to other powers; the outward commands mirror an inward discipline. When you assume you are the I AM aware, you stop the impulse to prove yourself by external symbols—horses, Egypt, titles, or gold. These images, though tempting, are only images of fear seeking security. The moment you accept that your supply and protection come from the inner Source, the need to 'multiply' becomes moot. The 'Egypt' you must forsake is any old pattern that sends you back to limitation—an old story of lack, not enoughness, or control through wealth. In this light, obedience is not servile; it is alignment with the one presence that animates your life. Your heart, if steadfast in consciousness, remains faithful to the Lord of your awareness, and all else follows from that alignment.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of a sovereign consciousness that provides all good. Revise any thought of lack and feel it real that you are already provided by the inner king.
