Inner Firstlings and the I Am
Deuteronomy 15:19-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage orders sanctifying the firstborn to the Lord, ensured by blemish checks; it prescribes eating it in the chosen place, and allows both the clean and unclean to eat, while forbidding blood.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this decree, the firstling is not merely a beast but the first impulse arising in your consciousness. Sanctify it to the I AM, quietly affirm, This thought or urge belongs to the God I am, and I will honor it by alignment, not force. Do no outward work with the firstling; let no exterior push compel it into form. If it is blemished—lame or blind—do not sacrifice it as flawless; acknowledge the imperfection and revise it into harmony with your true self. Eat it before the Lord in the place He chooses: bring the impulse into your inner sanctuary and feed it with awareness, along with your mental household. The unclean and the clean may eat alike, so within your inner temple there is no exclusion—observe, discern, bless. Do not eat the blood; release the vitality you do not require and pour it out upon the ground as water. In this sacred order, your first thoughts become obedient servants to the I AM, shaping reality as you imagine and feel them aligned.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, enter your inner sanctuary, and declare that the first impulse is sanctified to the I AM. Then revise it to align with your true self and feel it real.
