Inner Wealth Through Generosity
Deuteronomy 15:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text commands generous, unhindered giving to the poor, promising divine blessing on your labor. It also notes that poverty will be a perpetual condition, so generosity becomes a continual discipline.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, dear traveler, this is not a payment to a distant God, but a revolution of your inner state. When you freely give, you do not diminish your supply; you refresh the I AM within you, and that living awareness blesses your every venture. The instruction to open your hand wide is really a summons to open your consciousness wide. The 'poor' in this text is a symbol of lack you have accepted in yourself; acknowledge it, but refuse to identify with it. By giving, you declare that you are the source of all blessing, and God blesses the work you put your hand to because you refuse to contract your inner light. As you practice this inward generosity, you will notice your results blossom through alignment rather than force—the blessing follows your right attitude of abundance. The law is simple: your outward generosity is the mirror of your inward I AM; the more you give from a full heart, the more that fullness returns, in ways seen and unseen, now and here.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and imagine the I AM within you radiating through your hands as you give. Affirm, 'I give freely, and I am blessed in all I do,' and see supply returning to you as blessing.
