Biblical Context
The Lord commands Moses to renew the two stone tablets, fashion an ark, and have the commandments written anew to be placed inside the ark.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this story the outward acts mirror an inner discipline. The two tables of stone stand for unyielding principles you choose to keep before your mind, and the ark is the chamber of your attention that holds the living word. Going up the mount signifies lifting awareness into a higher state where God—the I AM within you—writes the commandments not on literal stone but upon your inner consciousness. When Moses returns and places the tablets in the ark, you too inscribe the law upon your own inner storehouse and carry it into every moment of daily life. The ‘day of the assembly’ is your present recognitional moment when you know the covenant is already established in you. Renewal, then, is not a future event but a decision you make in imagination, the clear assumption that your inner law governs your experience. As you dwell in that feeling—that you are already the covenant, already in harmony with Truth—the world aligns to reflect it.
Practice This Now
Practice: sit quietly, declare 'I AM the law of my life,' and visualize two bright tablets being inscribed within an inner ark; carry that ark into your next moment and live as the covenant now fulfilled.
