The Inner Joshua Emerges
Deuteronomy 1:37-38 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
The LORD tells Moses he cannot enter the land, but Joshua will lead the people into the inheritance.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the seeker, the scene speaks in the language of states of consciousness. Moses stands for the old self—anger, complaint, and resistance—that cannot cross the inner Jordan while that state persists. The Lord's sentence 'thou shalt not go in' is not punishment but a map of your present alignment: the old consciousness must yield so a higher one may enter. Joshua, the son of Nun who stands before thee, is the rising impulse of faith, courage, and practical certainty. He shall go in; he shall cause Israel to inherit it—your inner kingdom, the realized state where perception aligns with fulfillment. When you recognize this as your inner drama, the decree becomes a permission slip: you may enthrone Joshua and displace the old pattern. Your inheritance is not distant conquest but a newly awakened state of being. The invitation is to encourage Joshua within, and thus enter with him into your own promised land. Remember, all outer events reflect your inner life; the inner land is claimed first in imagination and held by feeling.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest in I AM, and imagine Joshua stepping ahead of you into the inner land; feel him guiding you as if you are already there.
