Deuteronomy 1:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 1 in context

Scripture Focus

22And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
Deuteronomy 1:22

Biblical Context

The people approach to propose sending spies to scout the land and determine the route, showing a reliance on outward guidance before action.

Neville's Inner Vision

When you hear We will send men before us, recognize the line as your inner mind dispatching thoughts to map your next move. The land represents your desired state of being, and the spies are the many beliefs and conditions you send ahead to test the way you will walk. Your I AM, the present awareness, can guide by turning this scouting into a revision: you do not seek outside permission but affirm that the path exists in you already. If you feel the impulse to search the terrain, gently declare that you have already walked the land and know the route, for your inner authority knows the way. The call to bring word again becomes a moment to anchor certainty: you have the answer within, and the route follows your conviction. By honoring the inner spies as aspects of your imagination and then choosing to believe the land is already yours, you align with the truth that imagination creates reality and you move forward in faith, not fear.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the land is already yours; feel the path underfoot and declare that the way is clear, letting your inner I AM guide each next step.
