Biblical Context
God's words are confirmed against us, and great evil comes when we do not turn from our iniquities or seek truth. The passage links disobedience to outward upheavals, urging prayer that turns the heart back to God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 12–14 invites a shift in your inner state. Jerusalem represents the center of your will and the habits by which you judge your life. When you neglect to pray with intent to turn toward truth, you create a storm that mirrors your fixed beliefs about limitation. The 'great evil' is not punishment from a distant God, but a reflection of your own consciousness—your sense of separation, your belief you cannot change, your faith in lack. Yet the Lord, your I AM, is righteous in all His works and simply reflects your state back to you. The remedy is not raw force but inner alignment: repent, turn, and obey as a re-commitment to the truth you already are. By revising the inner script and choosing to dwell in the truth of your oneness with God, you alter the outward conditions because you have reimagined the outcome within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, declare, 'I turn now from every limitation, and I am the truth of God in action.' Feel the release as this new state fills your being and notice the outer scene beginning to reflect the inward turning as if already done.
