Two-Horned Ram Within

Daniel 8:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 8 in context

Scripture Focus

3Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
Daniel 8:3

Biblical Context

A ram with two horns stands by a river; the horns rise, with the higher horn emerging last.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM lens, Daniel 8:3 becomes a confession of inner sovereignty. The ram with two horns represents two faculties of imagination vying for dominion in the mind: impulse and conviction, the quick urge and the steady belief. They stand before the river—the flow of events and life—yet they are not separate beings, but angles of consciousness within you. The higher horn that comes up last signals the birth of a more sovereign state: the I AM—the aware, choosing center that rules what you allow into form. When you lift your attention from outer signs and turn it inward, the stronger energy does not force its way by struggle; it asserts itself by felt certainty, by the inner awareness that you are the ruler of your inner kingdom. Outer events then follow as images cast by your revised state. The ram is you, but not in limitation; the two horns are now harmonized by the acknowledged authority of the I AM, and the river moves in accord with your newly commanded inner truth.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and become the ram with two horns; declare the higher horn as your I AM rising last to govern the river of life. Feel it-real by affirming, 'I am the ruler of my inner world.'
