Inner End Vision: Awakening Now

Daniel 8:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 8 in context

Scripture Focus

17So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Daniel 8:17

Biblical Context

A messenger approaches Daniel. He trembles, then is told to understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.

Neville's Inner Vision

Fear is not a sign of danger but a signal that your consciousness is ready for expansion. In Neville’s terms, Daniel’s standing figure is your present state; the messenger approaching you is the forward movement of awareness. When Daniel fell to the ground in reverent surrender, that is your old self yielding to a bigger scene your imagination is ready to enact. The command, 'Understand, O son of man,' is the imperative moment you give your mind to revise. The vision’s reference to 'the time of the end' signals the end of a habitual belief—your personal sense of separation—leading to a new inner kingdom. The 'end' is your own inner turning-point, not a calendar event. The vision comes because you have consented to occupy the state of complete I AM presence; feeling that you are the source and creator dissolves fear. So, remind yourself that the end of old limitations is now, as you choose to identify with the I AM and imagine the life you intend. The vision then unfolds as your inner movement becomes outer form.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, declare 'I AM the end of lack; I am the I AM,' and hold that feeling for a minute or two, imagining the vision as already true, then continue your day from that state.
