Daniel's Inner Vision Unfolded

Daniel 8:15-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 8 in context

Scripture Focus

15And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Daniel 8:15-17

Biblical Context

Daniel seeks the meaning of a vision; a man appears and a voice summons Gabriel to explain. Though Daniel trembles, he is urged to understand because the vision points to the end.

Neville's Inner Vision

Daniel's vision is your inner landscape revealing a state of consciousness you are entering. The man is your higher I AM stepping forward; the voice between the banks of Ulai is the attention that calls forth understanding. When the voice asks Gabriel to make this man understand the vision, it is the inner decree that your imagination must bring forth clarity. Daniel's fear—rolling to the ground—represents the old self resisting a decisive shift. The command Understand, O son of man is not a forecast but an invitation: understand now, for the end of the old order is the moment your consciousness expands. The vision thus is not information to be stored but a transformation of your inner state into living reality. When you align with this, the end becomes your present and the vision becomes your daily way of seeing.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, declare I am understanding the vision now, and feel it real as you breathe.
