Biblical Context

The passage depicts a lion with eagle's wings; the wings are plucked, and the beast is raised to stand as a man with a human heart.

Neville's Inner Vision

Daniel 7:4 shows the first beast as a lion with eagle's wings, power poised for outward flight. When the wings are plucked, the creature is brought down from its height and set on its feet as a man, and a human heart is given to it. In the inner map I teach, this is your states-of-consciousness at work: the lion represents your vigorous ego and its sway in the world of appearances; the wings are the quick, outward signs of your power. To pluck them is to stop chasing external glory and to awaken to a deeper, still center. The revival of standing on two feet and the gift of a human heart signify the birth of the self that can think and feel from a God-aware consciousness, not from pride. Providence and Guidance operate when you surrender the need to dominate and instead align with the Kingdom of God within. The external kingdom falls away as you choose humility, and your true strength rises as you remember the I AM is the one observing. Thus, the Beast becomes a teacher: power refined by humility leads you to act as a steady, compassionate God-conscious being.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the wings of ego being clipped, leaving you standing upright. Dwell in the feeling of I AM and the heart made whole within, letting that inner state guide your next choice.
