Read Daniel 6 in context

Scripture Focus

22My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
Daniel 6:22

Biblical Context

Daniel states that God sent an angel to close the lions' mouths, because he was innocent before God and before the king. The episode shows protection granted to one whose integrity remains intact.

Neville's Inner Vision

Daniel's scene is a mirror of your inner state. The lions are your fears and judgments; the den is the arena of appearances; the angel is the inner Presence your I AM summons. When you say, 'My God hath sent his angel,' you acknowledge that a higher self has intervened in your awareness, not in the external world. The mouth of the lions is closed by the impression that innocence dwells in your consciousness. To repeat Daniel's declaration—'before him innocency was found in me'—is to align with the fact that your true self cannot harm or be harmed by any mortal situation. If an outer threat arises, soften your attention and dwell on the identity 'I AM'; that is, the consciousness that makes you harmless, intact, and protected. Deliverance comes not as evidence demanded from without, but as a revision of belief. You awaken to the truth that the divine Presence is always with you, and innocence is found within you now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm, 'I am innocent before God and before all appearances.' Imagine a radiant, protective Presence standing between you and every outward threat, shutting the lions' mouths and letting you feel safe right now.
